LA TORRETTA IS AN ORGANIC WINE PRODUCER LOCATED IN VALLE MARCIANO, A CIRCULAR VALLEY BENEATH GROTTAFERRATA IN THE CASTELLI ROMANI REGION. THEIR VINEYARD, SITUATED ON THE SIDE OF THE LATIUM VOLCANO, BENEFITS FROM SOUTHWEST-FACING EXPOSURE AND THE VOLCANIC SOIL CONTRIBUTES MINERALITY AND A SALTY HINT TO THE WINES. THEY SPECIALIZE IN THREE WHITE WINE VARIETIES, BOLLE DI GROTTA, TORRETTA, AND CASTAGNA, MADE FROM A BLEND OF MALVASIA AND TREBBIANO GRAPES. WITH A FOCUS ON BIODYNAMIC AGRICULTURE OVERSEEN BY OENOLOGIST MICHELE LORENZETTI, LA TORRETTA STRIVES TO MAKE NATURAL WINES THAT REFLECT THE UNIQUE TERROIR AND THE SPECIFICITY EACH VINTAGE, WHILE PRESERVING THE LOCAL BIODIVERSITY AND MINIMIZING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT.
