MARTA AND FEDERICO, BOTH FROM FRASCATI, HAVE DEEP ROOTS IN WINEMAKING, HAVING GROWN UP FOLLOWING THEIR FAMILY'S FOOTSTEPS IN THE VINEYARD. IN 2020, THEY ACQUIRED SOME VINEYARDS BETWEEN TUSCANY AND LAZIO IN CELLE SUL RIGO AND SAN CASCIANO DEI BAGNI, AREAS RENOWNED FOR THEIR VITICULTURAL TRADITION BUT THAT HAVE PRESERVED THEIR WILDERNESS AND BIODIVERSITY, KEY TO A HEALTHY AGRICULTURAL ENVIRONMENT. IN THE VINES, THEY GROW SEVERAL GRAPE VARIETIES; INCLUDING MALVASIA, BOMBINO, BELLONE, TREBBIANO, SANGIOVESE, AND MERLOT, USING BIODYNAMIC PRACTICES TO BRING FORTH A SINCERE EXPRESSION OF THEIR TERROIR. WITH A COMMITMENT TO MINIMAL INTERVENTION, SPONTANEOUS FERMENTATIONS, AND LOW SULFITE LEVELS, SASSOPRA WINES SHOWCASE THE UNIQUE COMPLEXITY, MINERALITY, AND CHARACTER OF THE VOLCANIC SOIL OF THE CASTELLI ROMANI REGION.
